Can bare aluminum leave grey residue on my hands?

Raw or lightly polished aluminum can occasionally create a fine oxide layer on the surface. During
early use, this layer may transfer a light grey mark to the hands, particularly
in humid conditions or if the red coating has worn off.

This is a stable, natural behavior of aluminum and presents no health risk. It
does not impact the strength, function, or lifespan of the tool.
