Precision Tools, Inclusive Workplace: FELCO's Two-Decade Commitment to Social Integration

Behind Every FELCO Package, a Story of Inclusion

For over twenty years, a team of people with disabilities has worked inside FELCO's factory in Switzerland. They are not there as part of a program. They pack products, prepare orders, and work alongside FELCO employees every day. In 2025, this long-standing partnership was formally recognized with an inclusive employer award, but for FELCO, inclusion has never needed a label. It is simply how the company works.

What the label means?

The Alfaset Foundation is a Switzerland-based organization supporting the social and professional inclusion of people with disabilities. Its "Entreprise Partenaire" label was created to acknowledge companies that go beyond occasional collaboration and show a genuine, lasting commitment to social and professional inclusion. It is not a self-declared label. It is awarded by Alfaset based on the depth, duration, and quality of the partnership.

The partnership behind the recognition

FELCO has always been known for building tools that last, designed to be repaired, not replaced. But the company's sense of responsibility does not stop at the product. It extends to the people around it, to the Neuchâtel region it calls home, and to the way it chooses to run its business.

The partnership with Alfaset is one of the clearest examples of that. Doing things well and doing them right are not two separate goals. At FELCO, it is the same thing.

Nabil Francis, FELCO CEO:

"This label reflects something we have believed for a long time. Quality is not only about the tools we make, but about how we make them and who is part of that journey. Our partnership with Alfaset is one of the things we are most proud of at FELCO, because it shows that performance and inclusion are not competing goals."

FELCO and Alfaset started working together more than two decades ago. What began as a small collaboration has grown into something much deeper: a partnership built on trust, daily contact, and shared values.

Over the years, the relationship became more than a service agreement. It became a shared project, built on a simple belief: a company's success should be measured not only by what it produces, but by who is part of that process.

Inside the Workshop: Inclusion in Action

Every working day, a team of around twenty people from the Alfaset Foundation starts their shift inside FELCO's facilities in Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane. They work alongside FELCO employees, helping to pack products and prepare orders.

Their role is not on the side. It is part of how FELCO operates. The same standards apply, the same routines are shared, and the same care goes into every product. When a customer opens a FELCO tool, it has been through the hands of this team.

David Grandjean, General Manager Alfaset Foundation:

"What makes this partnership special is that it is real. The people who work at FELCO are not visitors. They are part of the team. They have routines, responsibilities, and colleagues who count on them. That kind of integration changes lives, and FELCO has been making it possible for over twenty years."
